Post from School

So, we're learning about business plans this week in school and the post below was a post I used as a response to another guy's post about business plans, how weird am I? One thing I loved was your Alen Lakein quote, “Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now”

This quote brings up a good question in my mind that I am wrestling with, how do I predict the future in my organization?  How much influence do I actually have in what's going to happen in 3 years?

Here's what I think the answer is but I'm wondering what other's have to say.

I say, if I work hard and put a plan into action, with measurable goals (milestones) I should have no trouble getting where I want to go.  That's what my "gut" tells me, however, I also have this feeling, an apprehension, that I can't do it on my own.

Praying HandsSo, for me, I take it prayer, I rely on a God who does influence the World, time and space.  I don't take it to Him because then He will make everything happen the way I want, but I take it to him so that I can accept what happens knowing HE is in control.  No matter what.

With that said I think I need to depend more on my hard work and doing EVERYTHING I can to anticipate the future and THEN, let God do this thing.

What do you think?
