Trust in Him

Psalm 5:11 "But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. 12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield."

While reading this week I have noticed that my desire to know God and understand His relationship with me has grown and I am beginning to get a taste of what it means to pursue God.

Today, while reading in the Psalms something dawned on me.  God. Is. My. Protector.  However, there comes a responsibility on my behalf to TRUST in Him!

What does this mean in my life today?  I think, to trust God is to allow Him to be my King.  I need to let Him rule His Kingdom and allow myself to be a servant of His.  Not the other way around.  Practically, that means that I have to keep in mind that nothing is mine, it's all His.  When I'm dealing with a subcontractor who I can tell is either trying to pull one over on me or is devious in some way, I need to trust God to protect me.  I still need to do my best to protect myself, but I can trust God...

So, I'm hoping, today, I can live that out.

How do you deal with Trusting God?  Do you have any tips?

Melissa made a good point a couple of weeks ago about trusting God with tithing, what else is out there?
