School & Time Requirements

I'm currently in my 2nd week of this semester at school...  We are reviewing Current Assets in the accounting system.  Last night my assignment was to differentiate between inventory methods... When I read the book I thought I understood the concepts, felt pretty confident actually. I was wrong!  I tried to justify this inventory spreadsheet and I couldn't get it... I could not understand where the numbers were coming from that the example gave.  What the heck!?  I spent 3 hours trying to justify a spreadsheet, a SIMPLE spreadsheet, and I couldn't.

I turned in some mess of a homework assignment and I wrote a letter to the professor asking for help... I hope he has grace for me.

Here's what I think I've learned from this:

1.  I'm not an accountant

2.  I don't ever want to be an accountant

3.  I WANT to understand the concepts

4.  I need to work harder to make sure I do understand.

Life is good and I can't complain, I'm extremely blessed.  I hope you are blessed too.
